Dayz Of Purple And Hope

Posted in On The Web, Recording on 13/05/2016 by chrish

Dayz Of Purple And Orange is a music blog which has always been in tune with Dead Sea Apes, so we’re happy to donate a track to this download compilation album Andy’s put together in aid of Cancer research:

Cancer’s a right bastard eh? Most people have been touched by this blight in some way, either themselves or close family members & friends. In 2012 there were an estimated 14.1 million cancer cases around the world, this number is expected to increase to 24 million by 2035.

On a personal level, I’ve lost loved ones and recently a very close family member has been diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. As anyone touched by cancer, as either a sufferer or relative, will tell you, it leaves you feeling powerless and helpless. It occurred to me that I can do one thing……raise some money to help fight this blight on modern life. So, I contacted some buds and contacts in the music world and they generously agreed to provide some music, some exclusive and unreleased. All profits from this compilation will be split equally between Cancer Research UK and World Cancer Research Fund International to help fight this thing!

There are no words to express my gratitude to the wonderful artists that agreed to be part of this…..It just confirms my existing thoughts that music people are the best people…….you are all stars and I love you all. Special thanks to Dave Millsop who not only provided some music in the shape of the Fuego track, but also provided the downright groovy artwork…..cheers dude!

The Sun Behind The Sun

Posted in Merch, On The Web, Recording on 04/09/2013 by chrish

We have a few copies left on LP and CD of The Sun Behind The Sun, our collaborative album with Black Tempest.  The LP is on grey vinyl and is a limited edition of 350 (also still available in all good record shops).  The CD is a run of  100 in a hand made mirror card sleeve and printed inner sleeve, and is sold out everywhere else.

Head over to our Big Cartel site to order.

Due to the protracted release schedule, some reviews were published long before the evenutal release date so here’s a handy roundup: Terrascope | Beard Rock | Echoes And Dust | Sunrise Ocean Bender | Bob Osborne’s Aural Delights | It’s Psychedelic Baby | Giblog | Norman Records
