Food banks: update

Thanks to those of you who snapped up the For Nepal LPs which we sold in aid of the Trussell Trust. We have decided to also donate the proceeds from our download sales since making all our downloads Pay What You Want / Name Your Price on Bandcamp, and the total raised so far is almost £500. So if you’re looking to fill the gap in your Dead Sea Apes collection, please give generously. If you really want to maximise your donation, Bandcamp have another fee-free day coming up so stay tuned for news on that; and in general if you are buying several releases please use the shopping cart to collect them into one purchase, since PayPal’s fee has a fixed amount per transaction as well as a percentage. 21st Century Nausea

As the lockdown continues, here are a couple more startlingly prescient diatribes from Adam Stone, disguised as 3-minute pop songs.  These were recorded in 2018 and originally intended for a 7″ single and/or the starting point for another Adam Stone & Dead Sea Apes album: plans being what they are it hasn’t worked out that way but we are pleased to share them with you now.

For Food banks

Since we have no gigs to sell merch at for the foreseeable future, we are pleased to offer online the last few copies of FOR NEPAL, a double LP compilation put together by Thom at Evil Hoodoo Records in aid of a charity he was involved with following the 2015 earthquake in Nepal. This appeal has now closed so we’re donating the proceeds of these sales to the Trussell Trust food bank network.  Food banks are under particular strain at the moment, with increased demand due to people being unable to earn and having additional expenses during lockdown; and increased difficulty in operating and obtaining supplies.

Lots of great bands featured, from these shores and further afield – if you like the kind of music we make you’re bound to find some gems on here.  Double LP on black & white splatter vinyl, with insert and download code.

It’s a lockdown

RETREAT TO YOUR BUNKER, a track from our album with Adam Stone WARHEADS has struck a chord recently, what with being told by the government to stay indoors whenever possible.  So here for a limited time only is a special Lockdown 2020 mix, Adam’s original vocals supplemented with some of the instruction and advice we’ve been subject to in the last couple of weeks.
